Rochester, NY   -- The union representing workers at the shuttered Blossom South is suing the former Rochester nursing home.

The union claims that the owners of Blossom South failed to provide proper notice of the closing and the elimination of jobs required by law. The union represented over 100 employees at the home, and is now seeking wages and benefits for those who lost their jobs.

The home was closed after losing their Medicare certification because of poor quality of care.
