East Rochester N.Y.- A historic rail depot in East Rochester is destroyed following a huge fire.
The flames broke out at the Despatch Junction building yesterday afternoon and quickly reduced the building to a smouldering pile of rubble.
The building was the first rail depot in the village when it was built in the 1880s, and has been used as commercial space since the 1960s. The building was operated by a toy store selling model trains.
No one was hurt. Crews were back on the scene Tuesday morning putting out hot spots.
