Rochester N.Y. - Rochester City Council last night unanimously voted to fill in a portion of Rochester's Inner Loop.

The vote clears the way for the plan which will see the inner loop filled in between Monroe Avenue and Main Street and transform it into a city street.

The plan is too put up new homes and businesses along that strech of road.

The $27 million project is getting $17 million in federal funding. Construction could start this fall and be finished by fall of 2017
