Casino Suit Thrown Out

Posted May 13th, 2014 @ 5:52am

Seneca County N.Y.- A state Supreme Court judge has ruled against some Seneca County citizens who sued to try to stop a casino that's being proposed for the town of Tyre.

The suit sought to stop zoning changes which would turn the farmland into a commercial zone. They also alleged the town, the developers, and their attorneys committed fraud in pushing the zoning change forward.

Rochester developer Wilmorite has applied for a state license to build a $350 million dollar casino and hotel complex on the site just of off Thruway exit 41.
